« backThe diagnostic kit for the detection of CTCs in pancreatic cancer patients is based on the detection of the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), the receptor for the epidermal growth factor 1 (EGFR1), and human telomerase (hTERT) in periferial blood or bone-marrow of the patients. The kit contains primers and probes for all markers including standards for an absolute quantification of gene expression. Samples with marker expression higher than the cut-off value are considered CTCs positive.
