« backThe diagnostic kit for the detection of CTCs in non-small-cell lung cancer patients is based on the detection of the expression of carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and of the Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor 1 (EGFR1) in periferial blood or bone-marrow of the patients. The kit contains primers and probes for both markers including standards for an absolute quantification of gene expression. Samples with marker expression higher than the cut-off value are considered CTCs positive.
